
EEI's basic
shelter construction includes natural earth tone finish available in a variety of
colors. The standard insulation is 3-1/2" thick with an R11 rating; 6"
insulation with an R19 rating also lines the roof of the shelter.
The shelter's door is 3' x 7', reinforced, insulated aluminum with rain-guard design, mill finish and single point locking system. shelters also include a steel skid that adds to the ruggedness when being transported.
Your EEI shelter will be constructed in a clean and modern production facility, not exposed to the elements until completely finished. The shelter's interior is a white 5/8" thick FRP glass board that is ready for installation of equipment.
EEI makes sure electrical and mechanical systems are installed to meet customer specifications and to comply with the National Electric Code.
EEI's equipment shelters offer a wide variety of options allowing for a completely customized and ready-to-use shelter when it arrives on site. Some of the many options available include electrical systems, generator room with generator, grounding, cable trays, automatic halon systems, heating and cooling.
Equipment Shelter Specifications

Walls are wood box frames with 2" x 4" studs spaced 16" on center with vapor barrier and FRP glass board on the inside and plywood with aggregate rock panels or steel on the outside.
The sandwich floor consists of 3/4"' plywood inside and out with vapor barrier and 2" x 4" or 2" x 6" or 2" x 8" joists every 16" on center minimum. Joists are sized by the specific loads required and are spaced accordingly.
The room is constructed of 2" x 6" or 2" x8" rafters depending on the width of the shelter and spaced 16" on center minimum.
EEI makes steel skids that can be either galvanized or painted or both. The steel skids can also be customized for your off loading and placement needs.
