Ehresmann Engineering is an engineering consulting and steel fabricating firm, incorporated in 1983 to meet the highly specialized needs of the communication industry.  Situated in rural southeastern South Dakota, EEI has provided services in all 50 states and the world.  Engineering projects have been as diverse as design, inspection, and project management in projects involving structures, material handling, power transmissions, and coal and aggregate processing.  The company has completed projects from the design of an elaborate conveyor system for movement of aggregate in the back country of South America to the design and fabrication of satellite antenna mounts for Siberian oil fields.

For over 30 years, Ehresmann Engineering has been prominent in the communications industry providing consulting services, design and analysis of antenna support structures, and specialty fabrication of towers and tower components.  State-of-the-art computer software allows highly accurate analysis of antenna support structures to determine compliance with existing codes, as well as in-depth assessment of the capability of a structure to safely support existing and proposed loads.

Ehresmann Engineering has a complete fabrication facility able to provide you with custom-built guyed and self-supporting towers and monopoles, designed for any specific application.  We also provide quick response in fabricating a complete line of antenna mounts and other tower appurtenances for our own towers as well as antenna support structures of any make or type.  Ehresmann Engineering can also provide custom built equipment shelters.

In 2004, Ehresmann Engineering introduced a new product line of trailer-mounted concrete pumps.  The versatile pump is manufactured by our Mor-Crete Concrete Pump divisuion.

Ehresmann Engineering offers multiple consulting engineering services and a complete line of steel fabrication,  all geared toward support of the communication industry.

Engineering services include preliminary layouts, writing of contract specifications, bid solicitations, review of bid packages, final designs, inspections, project management, and professional engineering certification.  In addition to the fabrication of monopoles, self-supporting and guyed towers, EEI also can provide fabrication and installation details.  We provide structural analyses of antenna support structures in accordance with applicable codes (Electronic Industries Association, American National Standards Institute, Uniform Building Code, and Others)

Ehresmann Engineering can provide structural analysis. A structural analysis goes  deeper than just a visual inspection.  The visual inspection of a tower will show the physical condition of a tower such as rusting, cracking of welds, bent members, etc. but it will not show whether a tower is overstressed by the loads it is supporting.  A structural analysis uses mathematical engineering formulas for stress, along with known behavior of different materials under stress, to determine if any one point on the tower is stressed beyond safe limits.  By using state-of-the-art computer software, we can create a mathematical model of any steel structure, and quickly determine the stresses at hundreds of points on the tower.

Ehresmann Engineering currently offers professional engineering throughout the United States.  This assures you the necessary certification for a proposed tower location, or the certification of other documents or designs you may wish to present for review.
